On March 23, 2021 King County entered Phase 3 of WA's Reopening plan.  What does that mean for you

Updated Phase 3 Notes

1) Return to County Level Indicators from Health Care Areas.

This means the Puget Region is now defunct and we will revert to metrics put out by King County Health to determine what Phase of reopening each county is in.  To review the current COVID-19 Key Indicators for King County, click here.

2) Mask Policy Update

Counties in Phase 3 with athletes participating in moderate-risk sports may remove their masks during competition.  Masks are still to be worn at all other times such as when a player is at practice, while waiting to enter a match, or when coming and going to a field.

3) Tournaments Allowed

Counties in Phase 3 are allowed to host tournaments.  There are specific requirements tournament organizers must meet and adhere to.  To read about the requirements, you can check out the Reopening Guidance for Sports.

Updated Travel Policy

Not included in the updated policy but just as important to many of our families, on March 19, 2021, the State of Washington rescinded the November Guidance updated their Travel Policy to mirror that of the CDC.
Current guidance is listed on the State's COVID-19 Travel Guidance page.

Travel increases your chance of spreading and getting COVID-19.

CDC recommends that you do not travel at this time.

Delay travel and stay home to protect yourself and others from COVID-19.

7 or 10-Day Quarantine Rule
If you must travel, before returning to in-person HPFC activities, you are required to follow the 7 or 10-Day Quarantine Rule.

7-Day Self Quarantine > Get tested 3-5 days after your trip and stay home and self-quarantine for a full 7 days after travel, even if your test is negative.  If you intend to return to in-person activities at the 7-day mark, please submit your test results to [email protected].

10-Day Self Quarantine > If you do not get tested, stay home and self-quarantine for 10 days after travel.

As always, we want to remind everyone that the safety of our players is our priority.  If you have any questions about the information provided in this email, please do not hesitate to reach out to the COVID-19 Supervisors at [email protected]

If you or anyone in your household has ANY COVID-19 symptoms, DO NOT come to the field and email us at [email protected] for next steps.
