COVID-19 Return to Play FAQ

What should we do if my child or someone in my immediate household feels COVID-like symptoms?

Do not come to any in-person training sessions.  Additionally, Washington State Department of Health recommends you get tested.  More information about testing can be found on their website.  Click here to read more.

When will our first practice be?

We will officially begin in-person sessions again the week of July 6. The club is still developing the final schedule. You will be notified as soon as it is complete.

How long are practices?

In-person practice sessions will last 1 hour during Phase 2.

Players and families are not allowed to arrive early to shoot on goals nor will players be allowed to stay late. COVID-19 Supervisors will be present to ensure all players and families adhere to on-field signage.

Will I be allowed to carpool?

No. During Phase 2 and Phase 3 of WA’s Safe Start, PSPL has deemed that carpooling to practice is not allowed.

What should my player wear?

Players will be grouped and need to wear their Red, White, or Blue jersey.

How will practices be structured and organized?

Practice will look much like the virtual team trainings, except we are in person.
Each group of players will be situated in one quadrant of the field and will not physically interact with players in another quadrant.
Players belonging to a quadrant will need to remain socially distant during training.

Will my player need to wear a mask?

Yes. Players will need to wear a mask when they are not actively training. Once training starts they will need to put their mask in a safe place such as a bag.

What else should my player bring?

Players are encouraged to bring a bag to keep water, jackets, balls, and anything else brought to the field. Sharing of water is strictly prohibited.

Can parents sit and watch?

No. Only players are allowed on the field. Please remain in your car during practice. During Phase 2, Seattle Parks has instituted a rule that parents should not congregate on the field or in their parking lots. COVID-19 Supervisors will be enforcing this rule.

Should I RSVP my child for practice?

Yes. Use Sports Engine to RSVP for practice. This is even more important now so that coaches can plan practice and maintain records of attendance in case we need to do contact tracing for the WA State Department of Health.
